Memphis Botanic Garden

I was excited to go to the Memphis Botanic Garden because – well, flowers – but it turned out it was kinda low on flowers being so early in the Spring. There were some beautiful tulips, which I love, but our visit involved mostly just walking the paths. Fortunately for Doug, that turned our flower outing into a birding outing.

The MBG is a 96-acre park in Memphis, Tennessee dating to 1953. In addition to the arboretum there are 30 specialty gardens, such as rose, magnolia, and rose gardens, but they weren’t in bloom at the time of our visit. There was also a small Japanese Garden that could best be described as “fine.”

So without further ado, here’s some pictures!
