Rattlesnake Museum

WARNING: The Rattlesnake Museum is all about rattlesnakes, so if snakes give you the heebie-jeebies, you might want to skip this post!

Albuquerque is home to the Rattlesnake Museum, supposedly the world’s largest collection of live rattlesnakes on display. And though I’m not a fan of snakes of any type, this attraction seemed too unique to pass up–which is how I found myself keeping my hands well away from the dozens of cages and glass cases filled with rattlesnakes from all over this world in this tiny museum in Albuquerque’s Old Town. For a small admission fee, you too can also be separated by a few millimeters of plexiglass from some of the most venomous snakes in the world!

The museum also collects artwork, books, and educational tools related to rattlesnakes, and regularly supports conservation efforts and research about the venomous creatures.

Fortunately for Jen, she was back East when I visited, so she didn’t have to choose not to go. But you can see some of the snakes on display by simply scrolling down this post!
