Winter Birding

We did some birding while traveling around over the holidays. These are from the Conowingo Dam in Maryland, Codorus State Park in Pennsylvania, and Cape May Point in New Jersey. These are very common birds, but I just love when they are little puff-balls in winter!

I got very lucky with the light on this male cardinal!
Female cardinal.
Pair of bald eagles.
Black vulture.
Northern mockingbird.
Some type of warbler.
Chickadee.
The eastern blue bird looks like a hummingbird all drawn out like that!
Dark-eyed junco.
White-throated sparrow.
Egret, looking a little wary of me.
Red-bellied woodpecker (even though he has a red head. I can’t with this nonsense).
