by Did you know that those sugary Easter Peeps can be used to make art? Wall art, sculptures, and dioramas are in store for anyone with the courage to visit a Peeps Exhibit, of which there are several around the country every year. Though we missed out on the wonderfully named PEEPshow in Maryland, we took the opportunity to see Peeps in the Village at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA. 2023 marked the 4th year of the contest and exhibit.
“Monica’s A-PEEP-ment” (from the Friends TV show) contained just a few strategically placed Peeps:
On the other hand, “The Leaning Tower of Peeps” and “The LibertPEEP Bell” (complete with the requisite crack!) were made almost exclusively of Peeps.
The entries ranged from “Wow, that’s a lotta Peeps” to “Someone had a lot of time on their hands” to “those kids are so creative!” The “Peep Flamingo” was an overall favorite.
We wouldn’t recommend driving out of your way for this, but it was a fun way to start off our day.
